Jeremy Asbell, 25, and father of two from Bolingbrook, was in a canoe that tipped in Woodridge late last night. Rescue crews are using sonar to find him.
His friend made it out safely, but they cannot locate Jeremy.
Some are questioning why he would have been in the middle of a retention pond at 2am last night and how he could not swim back to the close shore when his family has stated he could swim the size of that pond many times over.
Our hearts go out to this family and we will all pray for his safe return.

To start, Jeremy is my nephew. It's been all over the news. I would like to thank the Bolingbrook Watchdogs for their last statement. In all this, no one has said their thoughts and prayers are with the family. Thank you for you compassion.
