As it stands, only two people on the board has/ had children enrolled in the school system.
He has served every day in the best interest of the students, doing his job with sacrifice and hope.
Schoffstall has served as Valley View's leader since July 1, 2003, replacing, David VanWinkle who served as superintendent for nine years. For 15 years, Schoffstall was superintendent at Evansville Vanderburgh School Corp. in Evansville, Ind., which had 24,500 students. There, he helped raise the graduation rate from 67 percent to 96 percent and lowered the dropout rate from 16.5 percent to 3.2 percent.
We do not blame him for leaving and we wish him well. Let's make this last year a good one for him and we thank him for trying...
