Valley View Schools are dropping in Proficiency

When board members were asked about what they were going to do to raise the recent drop in proficiency, the chair Mr. Steven Quigly erupted and attacked the questioner.  Apparently when one goes on the defensive over a question like that, it means they do not have an answer or a solution.  This makes me scared.  I did not kow that Halloween scares had come so soon!

Many of us are concerned parents and want to know this answer.  When the resident asked all the board members to comment, only Liz Campbell stepped up to say something.  When Quigley did not like the question, he had the questioner's microphone shut off and asked security to escort that person out.

Guess we should not ask the board if our kids are going to get a quality education this year with those high tax dollars.  We might upset the goons on the board and they might strike out for making them look like the incompetent fools they are.

With school taxes recently skyrocketing, we want answers.  It cost residents more on their property school taxes to send their kids to local public schools then it does to send them to a local private school.

So of course the residents want to know what type of education the kids are getting.  Even if it means you throw us all out or yell and scream at us all.  We are not afraid, but you should be!

So Mr. Quigley, do you have kids in the school district?  If you did, you would be concerned as well.  Maybe we need a VVSD chair that is concerned about the drops in proficiency and has kids in the district.  Our tax money is paying for a quality education that our children are apparently not receiving...

  1. What difference does it make if the school board members have children that are students in district schools or not?

Aren't they all taxpayers to the district?

  2. I think it makes a difference to most mothers out there. I am a mother of two and I want them to make decisions that are best for the children and the budgets, not just for the budgets.

We can see the difference. Most board members do not have kids in the school and hence, they cut the kids that need the funds the most, such as the budgets for special ed. Sad really... Those kids are already discriminated against, then the board takes away their stuff too...
