Where were you when they did this?

Local Bolingbrook residents have turned a blind eye to what the local government has done to them.  It is just recently that they have started to take notice.  Now, a new web site promised to post elected official information for viewing and open record policy enhancements.
So we ask the residents where you were when this happened?

Roger C Claar - Bolingbrook
2000 - $25,000.04
2001 - $76,345.81
2002 - $96,978.09
2003- $99,355.49
2004 - $105,736.21
2005 - $116,542.36
2006 - $124.360.93
2007 - $128,092.09
2008 - $136,264.52
2009 - $141,085.25
2010 - $146,255.07
In ten years he went from $25K a year to $146,255 a year.  he also bumped his pay dramatically when he made the bad decisions to build the golf course, buy the airport, and built Americana Estates.
Is the Psychology behind these actions a "big head" syndrome?  Take advantage of local residents and think your a big dog now?  In three years he went from $25K to $100K.  He took out millions in bond debt that could never be repaid, and nobody ran against him until Bonnie came along.  Is this why he did it all?  There was nobody to stop him?  Tell us your thoughts!

  1. I will say that my husband earns more than the Mayor, however it is not nearly as stressful as Mayor Claar.....given the responsiblilty that our Mayor has, in comparison to my husband's......I question why we do not pay him more...........just sayin....

  3. wow lady!!!
People should get paid and keep their jobs based on performance, i know i'm held to that standard and so is most of people that still have jobs. So lets not pay the mayor, who progressively financially ruined our village, more money for doing so.
