Election Problems in Will County Again!

The complaints piled in today.  Here were the complaints:

1.  The Bolingbrook High School election judges gave a poll watcher a hard time today.  They demanded the poll watcher move back to 150 feet.  When the poll watcher asked them to get out their 100 foot string they were supplied with from the States election center, the election judge refused, and the States Attorney was called.  Needless to say, when they arrived, they pulled out the string, measured the 100 feet and left the poll watcher alone.  Last year Bonnie's poll watchers had the same problem at this location, where election judges were breaking the rules.  Apparently things had not changed. The rule is 100 feet from the door the voting booths are in!

2.  A resident called to complain that when she went to cast her vote on the East end of town, she found a candidate standing behind the table taking papers.  Cedra Crenshaw was seen standing behind the tables, as a candidate.  The resident was furious for this break of election law.  Candidates should know where they are allowed to stand.

3.  Two different residents have complained to us about early voting.  Both complaints stated the same thing.  The ballot box at Village Hall DID NOT have a lock on it.  That's right guys... no lock on the box.  One of them pointed it out to the girl and she diligently put it on.  What does it matter though, the key was right under the same counter!  Officially, Will County rules state the keys be kept in a safe until a uniformed officer escorts the votes to Will County.  Last year this was an issue raised by Bonnie's team, this year it has happened again.  Sticky fingers are fingering ballots in Bolingbrook!

We will report more as they come in!

Good luck candidates as the votes arrive!
