We have followed Mr. Mike Evans through his last two years path of destruction to the community. He has finally picked up his packet for school board, which was not a smart move. Our top reason we feel he should not run again is that he is highly unethical and the school board is suppose to stand up as role models to the students.
He votes on his own business to make money. He uses tax payer money to take lavish conferences and represents Bolingbrook like a drunken fool, both on conference and around town. He does not even settle his debts locally for personal reasons. For example has he paid for all his wedding bills yet? Local businesses are still waiting for hundreds of dollars of payments months and months later. Since then, he has started a family and now has a little one. Yet bills are unpaid.
Most unethical people would agree with Mike, why pay them off when you can go the high route and use that money for luxury suites with champagne in Vegas, baby! Which he did just a few months ago.
The other problem with this, is that he heads the Chamber of Commerce. He is suppose to be helping local businesses succeed and be able to stay open. Instead, he used local businesses to get a discount for his wedding and failed to pay them! Most of these are small businesses and cannot afford to have people not pay. He abused his powers of connections and now businesses all around him are struggling to deal with the consequences of his immature and irresponsible actions.
Can we all say "grow up Mike?"
