Is it proper for the Village Clerk to be the Party Chair to the incumbents? Is this a conflict of interest, when she uses her position as the Village Clerk and access to the documents, to also lead this election for others?
The procedure for acquiring petitions are through FOIA. FOIA law dictates they have 5 business days to respond. During those 5 days that everyone else has to wait, Carol gets access to copying these documents, giving her three candidates an earlier shot of acquiring an attorney to review the documents for issues and problems and file an objection.
We think there is a definite conflict of interest in her abuse of power. Stay tuned for more!
