Lately our crime statistics have been jumping in Bolingbrook. Robbery is on the rise, and so are harder crimes. It is time the residents do a good check on open doors, windows, and car belongings.
We understand that power has been out and keeping windows closed would be suffocating. Some helpful tips would include ensuring that windows only remain open in rooms that are occupied. This cuts down crime in homes overnight.
Make sure that valuables in vehicles are tucked away and out of site.
There has been an increase in gang spotting due to the summer months and a typical increase in marijuana running, due to growing season.
