from Bonnie Alicea:
"I might not be the only candidate running for Trustee against the current Trustees in office. I might not even be the first choice picked to be a trustee. But the one thing I am, is honest. I speak my mind and stand up for what I believe in, even if it means standing alone."
Today I have entered into a contract with the Brook Report to submit my views for the residents. I am not a journalist, but I am a candidate for election to Trustee in Bolingbrook. I support the Bolingbrook Report for demanding transparency in candidates, as I have wanted transparency in my public officials as well.
Other candidates are being offered the choice to do this, and with this, we hope to accomplish a more fair election process. Let the residents be informed of who their candidate is, what they stand for, and use their own voice when choosing their candidate.
You can rest assure that my views and statements will all be posted with the title from Bonnie Alicea, as posted above. This way the residents can differentiate between the Brook Report views and my own views. The Brook Report has some very strong views on local politics. I have my own views and would like to be heard as the individual that I am.
I will answer one public question a week on this blog. Please submit the question to the Bolingbrook Report email address. I intend to answer as many questions as possible, to dispel any myths about me that are out there, and to support my platform. There has been a great deal of inaccurate and misleading information posted and spoken of me in the last two years, and it is time for the truth to come out.
I am also calling all candidates to do the same. I think all candidates should post their qualifications and platform, if they want to support transparency.
Thanks for giving me this opportunity and I look forward to a fun and clean election run!
