Election Rigging cost taxpayers over $10G in Feb. and March

When school board members Quigley, Gougis, and Venegas were objected to, Tressler LLC went to the circuit court judge and told that judge that Rickard Kavanaugh should sit on the electoral board, even though they had enough people and Kavanaugh had conflicts of interest.  That decision led to an appeal suit filed in Will County that cost the taxpayers $10G over two months this year.

Asking for Richard Kavanaugh to sit ont he board was a slap in the judges face.  It was unethical and only gave Tessler the reward of making an extra $10G.  They did that knowing it would lead to a lawsuit and they would get rich off those illegal actions.

At least that is what many at the BR believe.  Look at the repeated pattern time and time again where Tressler makes a faulty move, only to get more money into their company.  They did it by breaking Bonnie's constitutional rights.  They did it by Devon Hodges rights.  They did it during this hearing, and they did it to the Village of Oak Park.

It is time to get rid of the attorneys that charge twice or more that twice what a normal attorney would have cost the taxpayers.  In Oak Park they were paying $500K and when they used Tressler it went to $1.5K.  It is happening here.  Don't be blind, these people need to go!

  1. What were the decisions in the these cases? If I remember correctly, Bonnie's case against the village was thrown out. What is the status of the others?

  2. BR,

I appreciate the stories that the group reports on, but please hire a proof reader. The grammatical errors detract from the points that you are trying to make. The errors drive me crazy…..the simple act of proof reading would help eliminate the numerous errors.

Again keep up the good work, just remember to proof read your stories.

    Thanks,

  3. To English Major,

We do understand that all our stories are sent to one writer, who has some writing issues. This writer volunteers approx 40 hours a week and is valuable to the process of receiving a story to publishing one.

However, it is also what makes the BR so real. These errors are a slap in the face of VVSD and a reminder of what type of education our children are receiving, since our writer is a grad of BHS.

We also like the controversey it brings... so we will try to do better, but we might let some slip as well! ;)

  4. All cases against Bolingbrook get thrown out. that is not the point. They get thrown out because Tressler staffs 10 attorneys on the case and nobody can win with a stacked deck like that. However, that makes them rich, which is the point. It costs the taxpayers to staff 10 attorneys for their F*** ups that they did. It should be pro-bono work if they messed up.

Taxes go up, legal fees go up, see the pattern?
