Last year we featured a story on Walsh landscaping (politically connected company) who was getting paid to water areas in Bolingbrook that had working sprinkler systems. We wanted to know how much this costs us per year.
Here is what we found...
According to the invoice dated July 9, 2010, Walsh entered into a contract with the Village for watering services to amount to $35K per year. The village used all but $2,482 of that amount last year.
Mike Drey, the head of Public Works approves the bill and sends it to financing.
We want to know from Mike if he thinks this was a good idea? If he does, I would like to apply for the job. I will turn the knob of the sprinkler on a few times a year and make $35K!
Cheers!

So Claar, Boan, and Morales are too lazy even to pay to water their own lawns and demand we pay for it. What lazy slobs.
ReplyDeleteWho says it was their own lawns? Could it be the landscaped medians along the streets that do not have water access to them. I've seen water trucks along Boughton. I doubt it's as simple as turning on a sprinkler.
