Bob Bowen and Rhonda Reed Slaughter hit over 600 doors today and counting!

I have to give credit where credit is due.  I have never seen a Trustee candidate hit as many doors as these two Trustee candidates.  They have been walking for months, getting in shape, as they go door to door meeting with voters and residents. I don't think I would have lasted more then one day at this intensity.

"Anyone that walks 11 hours a day for weeks at a time has my vote", stated a Bolingbrook man named Harry.  "This is what the Village needs.. someone to find out what we want and make it happen". 

So for these two candidates, I am proud of you and your tenacity to make Bolingbrook a better place to live.  We need trustees talking to the neighbors and voting for what we want, not what will pad you wallets.  Thank you for doing what your doing.

In the meanwhile, the incumbents have not been seen much around the village.  Maybe this is a wake up call to say, "Hey Leroy, Pat, Rick, don't you think you should ring a few doorbells and say hello to the residents you have been serving for over ten years?"  How do you know what the people want when you only go from your house, to your car, to work and back?

Even the Bolingbrook sweetheart Bonnie Alicea has been walking door to door for weeks telling people about the reasons to vote.  She is not even on the ballot!  If she can do it, so can you!
