Bolingbrook Bugle editor vented his anger in this weeks paper, so we felt the need to vent back. He is angry at the independent candidates for not participating in his biased guides. Our feelings on this one? You deserve it Rich!
For two years you have written slanted articles trying to make EVERYONE that questioned Roger look bad. You wrote horribly slanted articles about Bonnie and her lawsuits. You trampled on her civil rights in doing so. You did not even list her in the election guide last year.
Recently you wrote an article that Bolingbrook has high debt but is paying it off, after everyone else at that meeting heard Ricky say there did not need to be a game plan to pay it off. Furthermore, paying pennies on the interest does not pay down any of the debt principal. You have kept the public in the dark about the illegal governmental actions and failed to hold journalistic integrity by not reporting the truth so the residents could vote wisely. You have been bought off. You are nothing but a shill with no ethics or honor.
Now you want other independents to sell your paper for you by giving you their voice, which you will only twist anyhow? You want to display them in the light you see fit for the world to see? So you get mad and put an article out that they must not care. You could not be more wrong. Not only do they care more then you know, they cared enough not to let your piece of crap trash them like you trashed Bonnie. They hold themselves to a higher moral status then you do.
When you're ready to let your paper cover the REAL news, you might start getting some respect. But respect is earned and you have earned nothing from the opponents of the incumbents. When they get in office, be prepared for your pockets to stop getting lined.
