Why to Pick Three for Trustee of Bolingbrook on April 5th.

It is apparent that the incumbents Brown, Shanks, and Morales have to go.  They have been rubber stamping us into high debt and lack of services for years now.  The only people left to vote for them is family, friends, and a few die hard neighbors.

It has long been established that there are three reasons why people don't vote.
1.  They have never voted before and don't know how.
2.  They would not know who to vote for anyways.
3.  They forget the day to vote or do not have time.

The voting booths are well staffed and walk you through the whole process.  After you have done it once, it is a piece of cake the next time.  There is no need to fear voting.  You can vote early, it has already started.  You can go early in the morning or after work the day of as well.  That is no excuse since they expanded times and hours.  Voting on election day April 5 is from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

But how do you know who to vote for?  Typically the local political parties will tell you how to vote for your political party, however, political parties such as the Republican Party and the Democrat Party do not handle local elections, as they are non-partisan/independent elections.

The leader for information on this subject goes to the Will County Independent Party which specializes in these types of elections.  They have researched local candidates and weighed in on residents current needs.  In Bolingbrook, they have selected the three candidates that they are confident are the best for the job.  These candidates are Bob Bowen, Rhonda Reed Slaughter and Joe Napionello for the Village.

The Will County Independent Party states, "We need three candidates that believe in Fiscal Responsibility this year to balance out the 6 person board which has100% lacked financial discipline and conducts poor budget allocations.  The rubber stamping has led to high debt and future financial issues to the residents.  This is the biggest concern of residents for the election.  The second is to find people that listen to the residents.  The current 6 person board is not resident-friendly.  The third largest issue is to clean up Bolingbrook and its crime, so that foreclosed homes are taken care of, the crime rate is lowered, and stores come back into the Village with support from the Village.  the current administration has shown 100% that they are incapable of dealing with this issue.  Because of this and what we have read and seen, people we have spoken to, the ONLY candidates that can do all these things for the residents are the three choices above."

The problem is that a lot of residents don't get out to vote because they don't follow politics to know who to vote for anyhow.  This year that has changed.  These three candidates need your support.  They are not only recommended by the Will County Independent Party, but also this web site.  Bonnie Alicea, former Mayoral candidate and fighter for transparency and a better Bolingbrook has endorsed these three as well.  It is a strong three that move into this race and the first "real" contenders to knock out the current rubber stamp trustee board.

However, with the Mayor's involvement in local elections and attempt to keep his strong hold, he will endorse people based on whom he can control.  He does not care about education, experience, abilities, or ethics when he tells you who to vote for.  He also gets his loyal followers out to vote.  That is a good 4,000 people in Bolingbrook that feel they have to vote for his people or they could "lose their jobs in the Village, township, Library, or School District".  It is called fear votes.  They even lie about the candidates running against them.  It is a twisted political scene in Bolingbrook.

So if you don't normally come out to vote, we give you three reasons why this year should be different.
1.  Your taxes will be going up if your don't vote.
2.  Your services will be cut again (fire, police, ambulance, public works, etc.) if you don't vote.
3.  Your sales tax will continue to be high when you shop, if you don't vote.

So if you can live with these things, and live with bullies in office, then who cares, don't vote.  But if those three things bother you, come out and vote to get rid of the three incumbents who have increased your taxes, cut your service, and misspent your tax by giving it to their favorite charities they are a part of while at the same time firing police officers and paramedics who protect you.

Take the names Bowen, Slaughter, and Naponiello to the polls and don't forget to absentee vote, early vote, or vote on April 5!

  1. I will be picking Bob, Rhonda and Joe. I will not vote for the incumbents who have mis-spent all our money. If they were good, like the Schaumburg Trustees, we would be paying NO taxes instead we are in HIGH DEBT. They are bad at their jobs.
