Friends of Valley View Incumbents take large donations from Unions!

The Teachers Union is the largest Union tht deals with the schools.  They fight hard for preks, raises, and more of your tax dollars.  During Steven Quigley's regime as chair of the school board, he has raised taxes each year.  A few weeks ago, after annual budgets were passed, he gave the teacher's Union a 5% annual increase!

In most private companies, 3% in a down economy, is high.  But when someone is spending your money and does not care, it is easy to shovel out 5% increases and continue to increase your taxes...

In March, AFT local 604, once the raises were issued, gave their recommendations to vote these incumbents in.  Then they donated $9,000!  This is more then any other candidate has going into this election.

When the teachers want someone to win, they sure back them!  If people vote for Quigley, Venegas, or Gougis, we can expect more 5% raises and perks, but unfortunately this means an increase in our taxes.

  1. A $ 9,000 donation from the Union? Someone ought to tell the teachers this. I’m sure they don’t know that their hard earned union dues are going to support the re-election campaign for the group that has belittled, berated, insulted, and questioned the dedication of the Teachers in the district.

This support comes from no other than DICK Manley, the union boss from Joliet, who has close ties to Hizzoner.

Spread the word, get the teachers worked up and they will do whatever it takes to help stop their re-election.

  2. The raises that the teachers got were part of their contract. The teachers would be very worked up if the school district did not honor the contract and the taxpayers would be left paying for the legal fees when the union sued the school district.
