Incumbents vs. Independents, why vote Independent? Trust!

Every door I walk up to I get the same response.  "I want change" all the residents say.  Well that is a good first reason as to why incumbents need to step back this election.
Here is my reasons:
These three candidates had time to make a change.  They failed with rubber stamp voting.  They lost the trust of the residents when they failed to address the big issues with transparency this year.  Those issues included handling foreclosed properties, bond debt, cost for the American Water takeover, and even not addressing residents concerns.

Trust is earned in a community of residents that are responsible for employing these public servants.  When we look at what all the independents are running on, we see that the issues are similar.  The reason?  They have complained about these issues and were met with dead pan stares of the current administration.

So now the public wants to be heard and wants change.  They want people they can trust.

When Rick Morales claimed he did not steal those signs, it further hurt the trust of the residents in him.

When Pat Shanks, being called out as rubber stamped, did not stop rubber stamping every other week, they lost more trust.

When Leroy was called out about Bolingbrook security, and how it was nice to have meetings in the Village to discuss what to do, but then nothing got done, people lost trust.

When you lose trust in your officials, it is time to move on.  Trust is important with public servants.  Do you still trust them with your tax dollars after they just lied and stated they did not raise taxes?  Is sales tax not taxes to them?  Is gas, sticker, cell phone, waste water, and all the other taxes they raised not taxes?  There are more then one way to tax a resident and Bolingbrook has the highest taxes around in these areas.  So who are they lying to and why?  Why not be honest and tell the truth to gain trust?  Because that is not how they have ever operated and won't be as long as they are voted in.

Keep this in mind for the election next Tuesday.
