Newest Update on Library Donating Auction Proceeds

The discussion of possibly giving the proceeds to a non profit which helps youth and education was primarily in the January board meeting and it was motioned and passed to give the proceeds to the Friends of the Library at that meeting.  In reading the later report it seems like it all happened at the March 17th meeting.  The motion to place the Auction proceeds in the General Fund was made and passed in the March 17th meeting on the direction of their attorney..who said if they didn't do it that way they would be violating state statute and breaking the law. ...by the way I wonder if that non profit they were thinking of could have been the Valley View Education Foundation ...two trustees on that board are Lawler and Swinkunas...
