Yet again, another bullying time...
THE INCUMBENTS HAVE A 14 YEAR TRACK RECORD OF KICKING CHALLENGERS OFF THE BALLOT. THIS TIME THEY ONLY WERE ABLE TO KICK ONE CHALLENGER OFF THE BALLOT AND THEY'RE FORCED TO ACTUALLY CAMPAIGN THIS TIME--ON THEIR TRACK RECORD OF WASTING/MISUSING OUR TAX MONEY AND PUTTING BOLINGBROOK $468 MILLION IN DEBT.
HERE'S THEIR HISTORY OF TRASHING DEMOCRACY AND RULING BOLINGBROOK WITH THEIR IRON FIST:
Bolingbrook President Appeals Ballot Ruling
The Bolingbrook First Party, led by village President Roger C. Claar, asked a Will County Circuit Court judge Thursday to remove a rival party from the April 7 ballot because of the lack of enough valid signatures on the party`s nominating petitions.
The First Party is appealing the decision of the Bolingbrook Electoral Board Tuesday that the Bolingbrook Right Party did have the required number of valid signatures to be included on the ballot.
The board ruled that the petitions were in ``substantial compliance``
with election law and that they had 309 valid signatures--9 more than the necessary minimum.
Claar charged that the petitions had shown ``substantial noncompliance``
with the rules because one of the ballot circulators, Right Party trustee candidate Roland Wesley, is not registered to vote in Bolingbrook and because some signatures appear to have been signed by the same people.
Claar is seeking re-election and is running on the Bolingbrook First slate with four-year trustee candidates Wayne H. McMillan, James H. Meyer and Mark Stanich and two-year candidate Margaret J. Danhof.
The Right Party is led by presidential candidate Eleanor (Nora)
Wipfler, four-year trustee candidates Wesley, James Hobin and Larry Wilmington, and two-year candidate Merrill Weber.
A third slate of candidates is the Village Independent Party, which is fielding Thomas Grant for president; Jeanne Artel, John Rowens and Thomas Howe for four-year trustee; and Gerald E. Cook for two-year trustee.
