Do Bill Mayer and Roger Claar have a "deal" going on? I notice how Roger's and Bills' campaign funds show them eating out together, working deals with Orange Crush together, and I heard about some phone issues. Can you please explain?

Answer: Bill Mayer is the Township Supervisor. He shared campaign headquarters with Roger Claar's party in the last election and they assisted each other with putting up election signs. On top of this support, Roger has donated heavily to Bill Mayer, and donated outside of election cycles. To top this off, Bill Mayor is a sales rep for Call One when he is not working in the Village. He sells Call One services to the Township, Library, Village, and School District. It is a VERY lucrative contract.
The township financials show seats purchased to the Sox game this past year, and as you might recall from other articles, Bill Mayor and Mr. Claar were caught on the TV with their alleged girlfriends at a game. The Township has spared no money in lavish tickets to events, theaters, dinners, etc. Roger enjoys freely from their expenses.
So is the Township and the Village closely hooked up? The answer is "Yes". Should they be? The answer is "No".
