What's Going on in the School Race for Board?

The school race is heating up, but it is never as controversial as the Trustee race.  However, front runner April Gavin is gaining speed, along with Ken Harris.  Both have been hitting a lot of doors these past few weeks and making their platforms known.

Little can be said about the incumbents.  We have not heard from any resident that has had a door knocked on by Quigley, Goougis, or Venegas.  Have they decided not to run?

In light of what happened with tricky Ricky and that they are all linked on slates together, this incumbent team might take a dive as well.

We see some similar traits in the past with Quigley.  When asked what he was going to do about the Boston trip and expenses to the taxpayers, he claimed to not know anything.  Amnesia on all those lap dances at the taxpayers expense?  Must be why he also refuses to turn over full receipts of his "expenses" as required by law.  (Reminder:  This is when some board members took a conference trip to Boston and went to the Red Sox Game instead, then partied like drunken sailors--but we mean no disrespect to sailors because at least sailors spend their OWN money and NOT someone else's).

He was also heavily involved in NOT doing anything right with the Devon Hodges story.  (See links below).  He ruined a kids career all for nepotism and cronyism.

Quigley has had a bad year.  He has yelled at residents when they have gotten up to speak at board meetings.  He has lost his temper more then not at most board meetings.  Does this remind anyone of Tricky Ricky Morales?

We have labeled him squigley Quigley for doing nothing to squiggle out of his responsibilities.

The saddest thing is that after the budget was passed, he issued a 5% raise to the teachers Union and the same week received their endorsements.  We call that a bribe.

We strongly feel that Hansen and Venegas might have had a chance in this race if they did not run on his slate.  Since they aligned themselves with such a highly controversial and unlikeable character, it is likely we will see the rise of April Gavin and Ken Harris to these positions soon.
